Motor Fleet Management

The Motor Fleet Management Division provides passenger vehicles to state agencies for employees in the performance of their duties. The division is a receipt-supported operation that purchases, maintains, assigns and manages the state's centralized fleet of approximately 8,500 vehicles.

NCDOA Motor Fleet Management will be offering upwards of 75 vehicles from our Motor Pool section. These vehicles have been inspected by our Service Department and are ready to sell. As always each vehicle will be sold “as is where is.” The bid process will be handled by Surplus Property Division in accordance with NC Statue.

Any dealer wishing to inspect these special sale vehicles may do so prior to delivery to Surplus Property Division. Fifty vehicles will be offered on or about September 15; the remaining will be offered toward the end of the month. Dealers must have an appointment to inspect sale vehicles. Current plans are to have appointment time between 8 AM and 11 AM Sept. 1 thru Sept. 9. Vehicles will be moved to Surplus Property Division September 10 for viewing only and then offered up for bid.
